Bio

My choice to become an Acupuncturist was initially to have holistic health care for my family and myself. As a mother of two sons I was not satisfied with the western medical model for wellness. So I decided to take matters into my own hands by becoming a physician in Chinese medicine. Since acquiring my license I’ve never looked back and truly love my work. Being able to offer this form of health care to others is a true joy, honor and amazingly rewarding because people get better, they truly heal.

As a licensed Acupuncture physician since 2006, I earned my graduate diploma of Acupuncture at Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine in Sugar Grove, N.C., with post-graduate studies in massage, Tui Na for sports injuries, facial rejuvenation, functional blood chemistry, and addiction therapy.

Prior to becoming an Acupuncture physician I earned a BS and MS in Industrial Education and Technology at Appalachian State University with a psychology minor. I taught in the field of Industrial Education and Technology both in public school and at Appalachian State University.

Whether you have a chronic or acute pain or concerns, I am most confident that with consistent care from acupuncture and various modalities such as: life-style counseling, acu-pressure massage, e-stim, auricular acupuncture, cupping, gua-sha, moxa and / or herbal therapy, these can help on many levels, assisting your body, mind and spirit toward optimal health and well-being. Together with my expertise and your willingness to make choices toward health, I am confident positive life changes will happen for you.

Like a flower, you are a unique and spectacular miracle ~ krh
